“I love being single in 2018!” – said no one ever.
Let’s all get real… no one actually “LIKES” being single especially in 2018. It’s more effort to date these days then it is to run a marathon backwards (yes I just came up with that, who knows?) Like come on, the amount of bulls*** games, the flakiness, the excuses and the number of side girls we got going on, there is a high chance you will not be meeting the man of your dreams anytime soon.
Yes, this is pretty disheartening and I’m not one to surround myself with these negative thoughts SINCE I GAVE UP NEGATIVE SHIT in 2017! But, I also have to be realistic.
So what’s a girl to do when she has hit her mid-twenties and run out of Sex and the City episodes to distract her? Well, I have declared to the world (most of my friends) that I will be focusing on ME, MYSELF and I. Yes, it sounds so simple but yet so hard to attain. I mean for men this is super duper easy. We’ve all experienced it… he’s at work, he’s busy with work, he’s at home doing work, he’s working late, he’s got a work dinner. But when it comes to us women we like to procrastinate a little (teeny bit) and as soon as we meet someone (with potential) we choose to put aside most of our schedule for a shot at love. WRONG! I mean definitely, you have to somewhat be available to these opportunities but on the other hand, we cannot be running around looking thirsty.
So my plan here for us twenty/thirty-something women… go out, have fun, be social, work hard and above all be happy to be alone before you settle with someone else.
